Commuter line users can end their journey at the last station in Rangkasbitung – Tanah Abang line, Rangkasbitung. A one-way trip to Rangkasbitung takes 30 – 60 minutes through several station, Palmerah, Kebayoran, Pondok Ranji, Jurangmangu, Sudimara Rawabuntu, Serpong, Cisauk, Cicayur, Parungpanjang, Cilejit, Daru, Tenjo, Tigaraksa, Cikoya, Maja, and Citeras.

1. Rangkasbitung square

Commuter line users get off the train on the right side. Get the red car number 04 to Ona. Pay Rp4.000,- and get off in city square. Great shade while enjoying some street foods and drinks. You can also spot people does exercise.

2. Multatuli museum

Close to the city square, there is a museum. That historical building is Eduard Douwes Dekker house used during Max Havelaar novel making. Divided into seven rooms and four segment. The first segment tells about colonialism in Indonesia. The second segment tells about Multatuli himself and Max Havelaar. The third segment tells about Banten and Lebak history and the last segment tells about Rangkasbitung history.

3. Saidjah Adinda library

Saidjah Adinda taken from one of Multatuli’s works. Along Multatuli Museum, Saidjah Adinda becomes iconic building in Kabupaten Lebak. It building resembles leuit or Baduy tribe barn. Its unique shape attracts many travellers. You can find ten of thousand books.

To come back to Jakarta, you can get a car in front of Rangkasbitung prison’s entrance, then walk 50 metres more to get the train.
