The COVID-19 pandemic has not dampened the enthusiasm of Agung Sedayu Group (ASG) to open and operate a new shopping center in SCBD area, South Jakarta. This new mall in Jakarta named ASTHA is built on an area of ​​14,400 square meters. According to research by Colliers International Indonesia, the presence of this mall has filled the vacuum and emptiness of the shopping center in SCBD area for the past seven years.
 
According to Chief Operating Officer of Agung Sedayu Retail Indonesia (ASRI) David Hilman, ASTHA is here as a destination in the capital city for people who want to find new things. "ASTHA is here to fulfill the need for space for those who want to interact with a number of communities and need to develop themselves," said David at the inauguration of ASTHA (11/11/20), quoted from Kompas.com.
 
Before officially opening, ASTHA had already hosted two major events, Brightspot Market and Urban Sneakers Society, which were held in 2019.
 
ASRI Deputy GM Leasing Jessa Setiabudi added that ASTHA is a place to celebrate the life, passion and creativity of artists, musicians, retailers, designers, culinary and beauty business people, and other creative circles.
 
"We are confident that with the opening of ASTHA, it can inspire other shopping center entrepreneurs and especially retailers to get up and run their business again," explained Jessa.
 
Unlike malls in general, ASHTA focuses on brands that are new to Jakarta, even Indonesia, with a total of four big brands. In addition, local brands also enlivened this new mall in SCBD with an eclectic modern contemporary design.
 
Its location in the central business district of Jakarta has made ASRI strictly curate display-worthy retailers. Not only they have to adjust to the schedules and activities of the employees who work in this area, but also see those who live and settle in the surrounding apartments.
 
Brands that have joined and opened outlets in ASHTA include The Gourmet, Nagara, Bakerman, Yuukatsu, Ground Zero, Maison Kitsune, Lakon, Masshiro, The Tasting Room, Nobu, Goobne, Bukanagara, Susuru, Level, Lau Lim Mee Pok , Good Vibes, Juis, Pa'seng, Pig Me Up, Bleum, Eesome, Scentible, Starke, Mini Fridge, Comeagain Ice Cream, Saint York, Bynu Kitchen, Cookie Momster, Jugo Juice, Dejamu, 3mongkis, TanamLokal, and Flix.
 
ASHTA itself is part of the development of the District 8 superblock which includes three office buildings, Treasury, Prosperity, and Revenue Tower. As well as four apartments, Eternity, Infinity, Oakwood Serviced Apartment, and Langham Residence, and two five-star hotels, Langham Hotel and Oakwood Hotel.
