Benefits of Music Therapy for Health

Do you like listen music? Whether to get rid of boredom or it is just your favourite thing to do, music has a lot of benefits for your health. Do you know if music also can be used for therapy?

Basically, all types of music can be used for therapy. As explained in, music itself has three important parts, beat affects your body movements, rhythm affects your soul and harmony that affect your spirit.

For example, in yoga place, they tend to play calm music with a constant rhythm, while if you are attending or watching rock concert, the body, especially head will sway away by itself follows the rhythm of rock music without feeling dizzy or tired.

In other words, music for therapy can be adjusted with each needs. It individual needs, your music need probably different from other people. People with dementia considered this simple way is quite effective, to bring their old memories back.

Dementia generally characterized by an abrupt of loss of old memories. Music therapy will work effectively for people with dementia if they do this therapy in correct ways and routine. Other people will use specific music that can bring back the old memories of people with dementia. 

Along with that, music therapy also helps reduce depression. Music with slow rhythms, such as blues, useful for slowing your heart, make you feel more calm as well. Last but not least, music therapy also useful for dealing with insomnia as well as improving sleep conditions. The music used should have a slow tempo, like classical music. While you listening classical music, your heart will adjust the tempo, the slower its tempo the more slow your heart rate and make you feel asleep.
