One of Indonesia's e-commerce sites, Blibli, launched Blibli PayLater payment option. This feature is the result of Blibli's collaboration with fintech lending Indodana. Blibli VP of Business Development, William Hadibowo, said that this service provides credit facilities of up to Rp 8 million which can be obtained even if the customer does not have a credit card.
"Customers can also choose to pay off credit within 30 days after the transaction date or pay in installments with tenors of 3, 6 and 12 months. In the future, we will continue to develop PayLater product to expand our reach to more people all over Indonesia," William said in virtual press conference, on Thursday (22/10/2020), quoted from Kompas.com.
"We provide special offers as our incentive to invite business partners, sellers and customers to #AyoBersama to accelerate economic recovery by continuing consumption and transaction activities," he continued.
William added that in order to continue to meet market needs for financial solution, Blibli PayLater is also designed with fast and easy registration process, low administration fee, and comprehensive and complete repayment system, from electronic money card to bank transfer.
Meanwhile, Vice President of Indodana, Jerry Anson said that the white label collaboration with Blibli is also Indodana's effort to support the rotation of Indonesia economy through the e-commerce sector amid the COVID-19 pandemic. They hope that Blibli PayLater can help the community in meeting their daily needs.
"We see the great potential of e-commerce sector in supporting the rotation of Indonesia economy, especially in the midst of increasingly uncertain pandemic situation," said Jerry.
