Fighting Flu with These Herbs and Spices

Cold weather makes people hard to fight off a cold infection. Bacteria and virus breed easily in this rainy season. That is a main reason why flu virus, influenza A, B and C spreading fast and causing flu. If you find yourself headache, sore throat, fever, go right to the kitchen and find these following herbs and spices to get rid of those flu symptoms.

1. Garlic

Garlic contains allicin which is rich in anti-oxdants. Whether it consumed directly (raw) or mix into your dishes, like soup or stew, a few cloves of fresh garlics help get rid of flu.

2. Nutmeg

Nutmeg contains tryptophan help relieve flu symptoms, especially for children. It is quite easy by pounding nutmeg until smooth, mix with a little amount of warm water and place on forehead. You can also mix nutmeg with soup or any dishes to give extra warm.

3. Ginger

There are easy ways to use ginger as best ingredients to get rid of flu. First, grate fresh ginger until smooth, add two glasses water, boiled then drink. Second, add fresh ginger to your water for bath. Use a thin cloth to wrap ginger, tied then soak ginger in the water. Highly recommended to use warm water to give you an extra warm.
