Ishii Masafumi, the Japanese Ambassador who’s Close to Netizens

Ishii Masafumi is the Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia since April 2017, who is known to be actively uploading his activities on his Instagram account @jpnambsindonesia.

If you hear the name Ishii Masafumi, you may still feel strange. However, if we say "Ambassador of Japanyou must be familiar. Yes, many social media users, especially Instagram, know this person. Masafumi is the Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia since April 2017, who is known to be actively uploading his activities on his Instagram account @jpnambsindonesia. The account currently has 149 thousand followers.
 
One of the things that makes netizens like Masafumi is that he often uploads photos of his lunch menu which is Indonesian food, such as chicken noodles, Aceh noodles, Minang cuisine, oxtail soup, Betawi soup, rawon, fried rice, uduk rice, betutu chicken rice, soto mi Bogor, nasi liwet, soto Padang, coto Makassar, soto Madura, laksa Betawi, tongseng kambing, fried chicken kremes, sayur asem, and many more.
 
He usually uploads 2 to 3 photos on Instagram simultaneously, and always shows a unique expression. In every food photo uploaded, the Japanese ambassador always shows two versions. The first is a photo when the plate or bowl is still filled with food, and the second is a photo after he eat where the plate or bowl has no food left. In each upload, there are always #makansiangdubes and #makanankhasindonesia hashtags.

The 63-year-old diplomat also impressed netizens because he always wore Indonesian batik in almost all of his activities as an ambassador. He has used various batik motifs. Uniquely, sometimes its use is adjusted to the theme of his activities. For example, when Masafumi visited the Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla), he wore batik with a marine theme.
 
The existence of Masafumi in Indonesia means a lot to citizens. So do not be surprised if so many netizens feel sad when Masafumi announces that his working period in Indonesia will soon be end and there are only a few days left. Don't forget Indonesia, sir!
