Jakarta Began Its One-month Trial of The Odd-even Traffic System

The Jakarta administration began its one-month trial of the odd-even traffic system until July 31, 2018 and will officially begin on August 1 to September 2, 2018.

The bold move is part of the effort to ease traffic congestion during the Asian Games, which Jakarta and Palembang in South Sumatra will host from August 18 to September 2, 2018. More streets affected and for a longer period, 15 hours a day every day. The regulation has already come into effect on:
1. Jalan Merdeka Barat
2. Jalan MH Thamrin
3. Jalan Jenderal Sudirman
4. Jalan Sisingamangaraja
5. Jalan Gatot Subroto (from Jalan HR Rasuna Said intersection to Gerbang Pemuda).

The expansion will be applied to:
1. Jalan S Parman-Gatot Subroto-MT Haryono-DI Panjaitan-Ahmad Yani to Coca Cola intersection or Perintis Kemerdekaan Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.
2. Jalan Arteri Pondok Indah or Jalan Simpang Kartini to Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
3. Along Jalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta
4. Jalan Benyamin Sueb, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta
