Jia Replacing Legendary Chinese Restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel

Several months ago, guests will no more find Shang Palace, a legendary Chinese restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel, Central Jakarta. But, Jia came to replace it.

Some popular dishes at Shang Palace still can be found in Jia. Such Sichuan Hot and Sour Soup with Lobster and Spring Roll, also various Dim Sum. Overall, this restaurant is still offers Chinese food by native prescription, but in modern presentation.

Peking Styled Roasted Duck is the most special menu. Because there is also open show kitchen, where you can directly see the chef in action.

Besides Peking Duck, there is one more recommended menu, Crispy Honey Beef. This Chinese dendeng consist of beef slices with honey on the top.

For those who love gravy food, you can order La Zhou La Mian Noodle Soup with Beef Shank, a homemade noodles with fresh gravy and padded beef.

For the drink, Jia offer cold homemade Chinese premium tea and it placed on a special bottle. The smell of the tea is good and fresh. Another drink menu is a cocktail using Asia peculiar, lychee, red pepper, passion fruit, lemongrass, ginger, plum, and rose.

Jia in Chinese means “first”. Different from his brother who bring classical Chinese concept, Jia has modern Chinese concept with contemporary decoration. This restaurant is targeting all age. The price also affordable, starting from Rp28.000,- to Rp398.000,-. Jia will curing your missing of Shang Palace.
