Overthinking is where a person cannot stop to create imagination for a future or think deeply about something in the past. Research shows people who tend think trivial things in a long time feel that that habit help them to understand situations from some sides, quoted from hellosehat.
However, while they think deeply about something happened in their pasts, they probably getting regret. Or while create imagination of the future that may not be happen, they tend to worry much. Hence, overthinking lead stress and insomnia because the brain is forced to keep thinking. Ruminating the past and worrying about future are not healthy.
You probably agree that getting a good night’s sleep may seem like an impossible thing to do. Especially when your brain is forced to think something excessively, it sounds so exhausting then affect your immune system. In other words, do not get enough sleep are more likely to get sick.
When you are overthinking, the central nervous system sends signal to release cortisol hormone. While you have weakened immune system and poor cortisol absorption cause vary diseases including hypertension, heart disease, digestive disease and stroke.
It is okay to think about future to make this life more meaningful. But, remember to always be grateful for all things happen at present. Let us live the best lives possible
