You might not have thought that dressing up has a big influence on productivity and efficiency when work from home even you can wear leisure wear during flexible era of work.
As reported by Forbes, Dr. Karen Pine, a psychologist at the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom said the clothes you wear have its own meaning. Dr. Pine also revealed clothes have symbolic meaning which makes brain act based on the meaning you give to those clothes.
Work from home is definitely a huge privilege amid this pandemic. But, dressing up also one of work-from-home ethics to shift your mindset that you are still working even from home. Simple morning routines including bathing and having breakfast before work will help you focus as well as gaining productivity.
Work clothes you wear while working from home also build a sort of communication to others, either children or other family that you are need time and space to work properly and do not tolerate other distractions as reported by Ladders. In other words, you can give others to understand you need to preserve as much as productivity as possible to get your work done.
Especially if you need to make a video or conference call, ensure to look as tidy as possible. Even wearing light makeup is a personal preference, remember to shift your mindset to be presentable as if your company will make anytime calls. This also help to gain your credibility as a worker.
