Taste Legendary Chicken Satay in South Jakarta

Have you ever heard name of Sate Ayam Udin Kelana? This sate ayam (chicken satay) located at Jl. Sungai Sambas, Kramat Pela, Kebayoran Baru also known as Sate Sambas which has been established in 1977.

Open every day, from 5pm to 12am, hence they only have modest satay cart and plastic chairs, you might be find a long queue specially if you come right after work. To taste a plate of Sate Ayam, Sate Kambing or Sate Campur (made of meat, skin and egg chicken) you do not need wait too long (if there is no queue).

Served in a plastic plate, the savoury aroma of grilled satay immediately burst into the air. A plate of sate ayam (chicken satay) or sate campur (mix satay) consists of 10 sticks of thick chicken topped with peanut sauce, made of ground peanuts, chilli and soy sauce. Such a perfect combination of savoury and sweet flavours.

While lamb satay served with sliced chilli, shallots and soy sauce. Both chicken and lamb are thick, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Well, for those who does not like peanut sauce that much can order Sate Taichan.

A plate of sate Taichan topperd with chilli sauce and drizzle of lime juice without peanut sauce. While enjoying your satay, you can also see MRT passing by above your chair. Are you in?
