Tender, Juicy, and Affordable Yakitori in Bintaro

You probably know Bintaro for its coffee shops but there is also a lot of mouth-watering street food like Sate Jepang Maleo. Located at Jl. Maleo, Sektor 9, with simple stall and few plastic chairs, people are always lining up in front of this satay because of its delicious yakitori.

Yakitori itself comes from two words, yaki and tori which means grilled chicken. A portion of yakitori consists of 5 skewers costs for Rp12.000. Pieces of chicken meat skewerd with bamboo skewers are grilled with hot charcoals. It served without peanut sauce, soy sauce, and sambal like other traditional satay.

To get tender chicken meat, the owner of Sate Jepang Maleo chooses young chicken. You can choose only chicken or mix, chicken and its skin. To get the crispy texture grilled chicken, the skin skewered separately from the meat.

To complete your plate of yakitori, do not forget to try original onigiri for Rp3.000 and tuna ones for Rp6.000. Right after being grilled, yakitori and onigiri are poured with some kind like sauce with thick texture like sago. It has savoury and slightly sweet flavours.
