We all know that there are so many food and drinks from other countries coming to Indonesia. It’s undeniable, we love these foods as well. But food from our lovely country remains irreplaceable. In fact there are still many traditional Indonesian foods that are always sought after. One of them is uduk rice or nasi uduk.

The Betawi specialty is arguably timeless. In the morning and at night, you can find nasi uduk sellers on the roadside or even near your home. Not surprisingly, the savory taste, the coconut milk and fried onions aroma that burst would make anyone want to devour it. Moreover, this food is usually priced quite cheap.

In PIK area (Pantai Indah Kapuk) there is one nasi uduk stall that is almost never empty of visitors, Nasi Uduk Ibu Jum. This nasi uduk stall is arguably different from other stalls. Although selling traditional food, but the concept is more modern and there is also live music.

Here, you are free to choose side dishes to accompany your nasi uduk. There is a buffet containing a large selection of side dishes, ranging from thick omelette, fried potato chilli sauce, bakwan corn, spicy stir fried calamari, vermicelli, kering tempe, shrimp, krecek, balado eggs, jengkol stew, and the most favorited fried chicken. Aside from the tasty nasi uduk, all side dishes here are delicious too.

The price depends on the side dishes you eat, but certainly safe in the bag. Don't forget to sprinkle fried onions on top of your nasi uduk to make it more delicious! Not to forget, there are much crackers that you can take as much as you want. If you don't want to eat nasi uduk, you can try their nasi bakar or nasi kuning wrapped in banana leaves. Enjoy your meal!
