Top Five Netflix Original Movies You Need to Watch Now

If you’re looking to fill out this long holiday before New Year, here are top five Netflix Original Movies we rounded up you need to watch now or at least at Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

1. The Platform
Bringing social issues, the Spanish director, Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia presented an exciting plot through The Platform. Designed to make viewers afraid, this movie tells story about prisoners in a strange prison which not only for the criminals but also those who willingly join to fulfill their needs. They all are allowed to own only one thing, either weapon or pet to live on.  
In order to get his Diploma degree after released from the prison, Goreng willingly join with other prisoners. He put in a cell with an old man named Trimagasi who accused of murder. Trimagasi explained they are living in a mysterious tower where only has two people of each floor.
The prisoners will be fed once a day through a running platform send from the top (level/cell) to the bottom one. Prisoners at the top level can as much as they want while those who live at the bottom cells eat the left over.
However, every month, prisoners will be moved to another level randomly and for this reason there’s no guarantee top prisoners will be on top forever. How do lower prisoners survive if there’s no food left?

2. Project Power
Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Jamie Foxx, this superhero movie tells story about gang called Project Power creating pills to provide exceptionally skills like superhero for five minutes. Those who eat the pills don’t know what kind of superpower they have, either invisible, bullet proof, and so forth.
This finding increasing crime and for that reason a police officer, Frank (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and a dealer, Robin (Dominique Fishback) team up to discover the gang. They both get help from former soldier, Arthur (Jamie Foxx) who lost his daughter because of kidnapping by Project Power. How can they solve crime problems?

3. Set It Up
Familiar with term of matchmaker? This movie tells story about matchmakers, a two assistants who can’t stand their bosses any longer. Harper (Zoey Deutch) working for Kirsten (Lucy Liu), a hard worker sport journalist while Charlie (Glen Powell) working for Rick (Taye Diggs) in financial sector.
Both are working in same building and accidentally meet while ordering dinner for their bosses. Then, Harper and Charlie meet again for second time and sharing about their jobs.
They get an idea to put Kirsten and Rick in a relationship and/or marriage considering Kirsten and Rick have same personalities and for that reason Harper and Charlie have enough time for themselves. Did they plan work? This romantic-comedy movie full of funny yet heart touching scenes you definitely shouldn’t miss.

4. Don’t Listen
This Spanish horror movie tells story about mysterious voice terror at the old house of couple Daniel (Rodolfo Sancho) and Sara (Ana Fernandez) live. It all begins when this happy family including his 9-year old son, Eric (Lucas Blas) moves in an old house and intended to renovate as well as resell at a higher price.
Everything is quite normal until one day Eric started to notice alarming voices. Eric died under mysterious circumstances which made Sara leave the house and Daniel chose to stay. With help of medium, Daniel found a disturbing fact that the old house was a land of black magic where the evil getting stronger. Did he succeed?

5. Marriage Story
Starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson, this movie got six nominations at the 92nd Academy Awards. Marriage Story directed by Noah Baumbach tells story about a married couple going through a coast-to-coast divorce.
In short time of marriage, they blessed with a son, Henry Barber (Azhy Robertson). Sadly, both decided to see professional help to fix their marriage. Counseling didn’t go smoothly hence Charlie (Adam Driver) and Nicole (Scarlett Johansson) decided to live their plain marriage. Even they don’t live at the same roof, both taking care of Henry. As the time goes by, Charlie and Nicole agreed to separate peacefully. How they handle separation?
