While you’re around, visit the Museum Gajah (Elephant Museum) and Monas (National Monument) too, because they also keep interesting collections. Bus Keliling Jakarta or the tour bus can be a fun alternative if you want to see the city with a guide sharing information of each location. For fun recreational rides, go to Dufan with the whole family. Water recreational spots like Waterboom PIK, Snowbay TMII, Atlantis Water Adventure, Ocean Park BSD, Waterboom Pondok Indah, and Waterboom Lippo Cikarang can also be great options.

Jakarta is known as the shopping haven. Name the Grand Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia, Plaza Senayan, Senayan City, Pacific Place, Kota Kasablanka, Pondok Indah Mall, Gandaria City, Mall Taman Anggrek, and Central Park as the most recommended malls. You can pick one to visit in a day. If you want to shop for cheaper international fashion brand products, come at mid-season sale (April-May), Jakarta Great Sale (June-July), year-end sale (December-January) and prepare to get branded items with discount prices. Not bad, right? If your budget is lower than branded items, come to Tanah Abang, ITC Mangga Dua, ITC Kuningan, and Pasar Senen for interesting thrift markets centers. In these places, you can bargain for best price and get even more stuff. Well, the choice is yours.
